Dear Mom and Dad,

This is a letter of invitation to come and check out our Daycare! "But my child is so small!" Yes, they're still wee tykes, but a quality daycare is designed to set up young scholars up for future academic, emotional, and social success. Here are a few reasons why you should consider enrolling your child in Prairie Christian Academy’s Daycare Program:

Daycare is an opportunity for growth socially. In order to learn, a young child needs to feel cared for and secure with a teacher or caregiver. A 3-year-old child is able to spend time away from parents and build trusting relationships with adults outside the family.

Daycare prepares children for kindergarten. They begin to develop motor skills, language and even pre-math and literacy skills. Children learn to take care of themselves and others. Their sense of competence and self-worth grow as they learn to engage in “real work” by getting chances to help out in the classroom, for example, by helping to put away toys before moving to a new activity.

Last but not least, our daycare is an extension of both Prairie Christian Academy and Faith Alive Family Church and thus shares the same biblical beliefs and value system that promotes love for God and love for people. What a great foundation for your child as they begin their educational journey!

Kaylene Robyn Van Der Haar

I am originally from South Africa and immigrated to Canada in 2017. I have three handsome little boys and a loving husband of twelve years. As a mom of three boys, my days are filled up attending to their needs and pursuing their soccer dream. Most of our time is spent both on the soccer field during the summer and at indoor soccer centres during the winter seasons. I find lots of joy and fulfillment teaching my kids about the Word of God and using creative methods to allow them to memorize Scripture.

My family and I love watching movies on a Friday night and spending quality time together.

In South Africa, my husband and I ran a successful Early Childhood Development Centre (Ezzy's Ark Educare) with up to forty little kids from the ages of 3-5 years old. This business was a true blessing from 2014 - 2017 and has given me a greater love to work with kids and, most importantly, allow them to grow and develop in many different ways.

Fun facts:

I love cooking South African dishes (spicy foods).
Purple is my favourite colour!

Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to promote healthy growth and development throughout a child’s early years. Your child will benefit from programs that encourage creativity, imagination, language, literacy, confidence and independence.

Children spend time each day learning about letters of the alphabet and their phonetic sounds, counting, number basics, and activities that involve hand-eye coordination. Add to this a peaceful atmosphere with Bible-Based values and you have a winning combination!

Schedules

We have a full-time schedule that runs Monday through Friday starting at 9:00 am and ending at 3:30 pm each day.

For part-time students:

There is a three day part-time schedule where you can pick any three days of the week (Monday - Friday). Our program runs from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.

We also have a two day part-time schedule where you can pick any two days of the week (Monday - Friday). Again, our program runs from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Arrangements may be made for earlier and later drop-offs and pick-ups.

Cost

The cost of P.C.A. Sprouts Daycare is dependant on the number of days your child would be attending. We have three options for parents to choose from and those each come with their own cost:

Option 1: Full time preschool (M-F): $700
Option 2: Part-Time ( 3 Days/week ): $475
Option 3: Part-Time (2 Days/week ): $375

These costs are now subsidized up to 50% by the Government. You can find out more information by calling our office: 306-652-2230.

** As of Feb 2022 the Goverment of Canada is subsidizing nearly 50% of the cost
