Elementary Teacher for Multi-Grade Classroom

Prairie Christian Academy (PCA) is seeking a dedicated and passionate SK certified teacher to join our vibrant community as an Elementary Teacher for a multi-grade classroom. As a faith-based K-12 Qualified Independent School (QIS), PCA has been fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth since its establishment in 1981. Situated on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Saskatoon, PCA offers a supportive and enriching environment for both students and educators.
  • Bachelor of Education degree
  • Valid SK teaching certificate and current membership in the SPTRB
  • Knowledge of the Sask curriculum
  • Exceptional classroom management skills
  • Willingness to work closely with parents
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to differentiate learning based on student needs in a multi-grade classroom
  • Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of assessment for learning strategies, with a focus on incorporating these strategies into student learning
  • Ability to teach in a Christian environment and uphold our school Statement of Faith
  • Experience in coaching or assisting with extra-curricular sports, drama, and music productions will be highly valued, as will a demonstrated willingness to continue learning and growing in these areas

Educational Assistant for Multi-Grade Classroom

Prairie Christian Academy (PCA) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Educational Assistant to join our team in a multi-grade classroom. As a faith-based K-12 Qualified Independent School (QIS), PCA has been fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth since its establishment in 1981. Situated on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Saskatoon, PCA offers a supportive and enriching environment for both students and educators.
  • Grade XII or equivalent.
  • Completion of Educational Assistant program is preferred but we will train the right person.
  • Exceptional classroom management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Assist students with academic tasks and provide individualized support as needed.
  • Ability to operate in a Christian environment and uphold our school Statement of Faith.
  • Reliable, punctual, efficient, and diligent in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Service oriented and a team player but requires well-defined ability to work independently.
  • Support classroom teachers in implementing educational plans and activities.
  • Assists assigned students with reading, assignments, tests and comprehension of presented curriculum.
  • Supervises students in the classroom, play, lunch, or rest area, and during recreational activities and outdoor trips on a one-to-one or workable group basis.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Experience in coaching or assisting with extra-curricular sports, drama, and music productions will be highly valued, as will a demonstrated willingness to continue learning and growing in these areas.
  • Shows good judgement in personal appearance and hygiene.
